PLANTS THAT PROTECTS AGAINST EVIL SPIRITS

HERBS THAT PROTECT AGAINST EVIL SPIRITS

HERBS THAT PROTECT AGAINST EVIL SPIRITS

Mother Nature provides a cure for afflictions, including ghosts and evil spirits. If you’re ever in a bind with a ghostly entity, go to the grocery store and get a cure with these herbs.

This article focuses on plants that ghost hunters may use to keep evil ghosts and spirits away
This isn’t an exhaustive list of herbs and other plants you can use to protect yourself. We’ve only written about the most commonly used ones, and then only those that ghost hunters may need to know.
Also, you may need to make incense. You can find these videos right here: how to make incense to clear spirits.

Agrimony

A defensive herb used to banish evil spirits and deflect hostile magic.

Amaranth

Use it for protection, but it takes a bit of work and there are some conditions for using it correctly. You have to pull the entire plant under a full moon and wear it close to your skin under a shirt for protection. It’s one of the most powerful protection herbs against physical attacks.

Angelica

Use it to protect your home from evil spirits. Sprinkle it in the four corners of your house to create a protective shield. It also dispels hostile magic when worn. Some sources stated it can bring good luck into your home. The root is the important part. You can eat it, put it in protective amulets, powder it and use it as incense, put it in bathwater…This is one powerful plant!

Anise

In this case, you use the seeds or oil, but it can be toxic! Anise can banish demons when used correctly. Since it’s toxic, you want to make an amulet or use its oil in a perfume.

Anointing Oil

Used in Catholic protective rituals. Make it with equal parts cinnamon, calamus, cassia and myrrh, in olive oil.

Asafoetida

This stuff really stinks. You burn it to drive away demons and other nasty spirits. It can also repel hostile magic. When you burn it, the smoke will clear all spirits and magic. If you have any lucky items, those too will be neutralized. Be careful. This is powerful stuff.

Asphodel

This plant sends a ghost on its way to the afterlife. It will help the ghost find its portal on the Otherworld of spirits.

Basil

It’s not the strongest protective herb, but it will keep minor demons when you sprinkle it on the floor. You can also take the oil and mix it with Holy Water to cleanse a room.

Beans

We’re not sure if this is legit: You can throw beans–or spit a single bean–at a ghost or evil spirit to drive it away temporarily.

Benzoin

Use the resin to make incense that drives away evil spirits.

Betony

When sprinkled on a pillow, it will protect your dreams from psychic attacks and it will prevent nightmares. You can also grow betony around your house to keep all sorts of evil and malicious entities away from you.

Blackberry

One of the most powerful protective plants. Use it in a wreath and place it on your front door to keep evil spirits away. If you make the wreath with ivy and rowan, it becomes a powerful shield against all evil.

Boxwood

Like Blackberry above–Make a wreath with boxwood, blackberry, rowan and ivy, and place it on your front door. This creates a powerful shield to keep evil spirits away. Inside your home, place it by a window or on a desk to drive spirits out of the room. Boxwood is one of the most powerful natural remedies, but it comes with a cost. It’s highly poisonous to dogs, cats and other small mammals. It will kill your pets if they eat it. Be careful!

Burdock Root

When collected under a waning moon, it will protect against evil intentions while traveling. Wear a sprig around your neck.

Byrony

Use byrony with a protective stone to amplify the stone’s power.

Cacao

It can calm restless spirits.

Calendula (a.k.a. Marigold)

You can communicate with spirits when burned as an incense, but it won’t protect you from malevolent entities.

Caraway

These seeds may keep lustful entities away. You can use the seeds in incense, make an amulet or put them in a little bag and put it in your pocket to keep them away. We recommend using incense to drive these entities away.

Carob

If you have a poltergeist, burning carob will repel it. Note: Most poltergeists are caused by people, so don’t count on it to work against human-created poltergeists.

Cayenne

This herb breaks curses and hexes when eaten.

Centaury

This is a good all-purpose plant to protect you from magic. People generally bath with its flowers in the tub to wash the magic away.

Chamomille

Drink this kind of tea to protect from hexes and gently break existing ones. It can take a couple of weeks, so drink it early and often until the hex lifts.

Cinquefoil

This herb amplifies the power of other protective plants. You can simply carry it with you to protect yourself. The root is the stronger part, so combine it in resins or burn it with other plants. It used to protect individuals, not to clear or banish spirits from a house.

Clove

One of the most powerful protective herbs. When worn, it repels evil spirits. Place it above or by a crib to protect infants.

Clover

Used to provide protection against evil spirits and misfortune. If you hold a four leaf clover, then you will get faerie vision that lasts until the clover wilts.

Comfrey Leaf

Wear it while traveling for an extra protective boost with other herbs.

Coriander

You can grow it in your garden to protect your home and yard from spirits. You can also put it in a wreath on your front door to remove negative energy. However, do NOT burn it: It can amplify negative energy when burned.

Cubeb

A pepper variant from Indonesia, it can repel demons.

Cumin

Mix it with salt to create protective barriers in your home. Sprinkle it on window sills and doorways to stop evil from entering.

Daffodil

The bulb is the part you want to use. It can banish evil spirits from your home when you boil it. Daffodil is toxic, so be careful not to eat or drink it.

Dandelion

Dandelion is a very powerful protective flower. You can take the flowers or roots and bath with them to clear out your negative energy and form a white light shield.

Dill

Place bunches of dill above doors and windows to keep evil spirits away.

Elder

It prevents evil magick wielders from entering your home.

Fennel

This is a tricky plant. It’s used for protection from evil spirits, but you can’t grow it yourself. You also don’t want to use it as an incense. Burning fennel will amplify evil and negative energies. But, you can drink it in a tea to clear out any negative attachments.

Fumitory

Fumitory is a very powerful herb to banish evil and purify a space. Ideally, use its resin to make incense. The smoke will purify the area.

Galangal (a.k.a. Low John)

Use it to break the most powerful evil spells, curses and hexes.

Garlic

A powerful protective herb. Hang it above the main entrance of your house to keep bad spirits away. It can amplify the effects of other herbs.

Hawthorn

It protects babies from harm when placed in their cribs. Use it to prevent faeries from taking a child and leaving a changeling.

High John the Conqueror

Use the root to make protective amulets or gris-gris bags. The root will banish spirits and hostile magic. You can carry it around in your pocket for protection AND good luck. But, don’t eat it! It’s toxic and has a very abrupt laxative effect. Ick.

Holly

You can make a wand to banish evil entities. Burn its leaves to break hexes, curses and protect against bad spirits.

Horehound

A powerful herb to protect from malicious sorcery. Scatter its seeds in room corners during an exorcism. Use its seeds to make a protective circle against demons.

Hyssop

Hang the plant above doors and windows to keep evil spirits away. It’s toxic, so make sure no pets eat it.

Juniper

Burn it to clear out spirits.

Mandrake

Be very careful with this plant because it’s highly toxic. Never eat any part of it. Don’t let it touch your skin. Mandrake amplifies the power of protective herbs, many time over. Use the root in incense, or make an amulet with it. This plant will definitely protect you from spirits!

Mistletoe

If you believe in faeries, mistletoe will prevent faeries from entering a home and replacing your child with a changeling.

Motherwort

Its stench will keep away demons, ghosts, spirits, faeries and hostile magic.

Mugwort

Place it under a doormat to keep the bad guys away. The FDA considers it a toxic plant because it contains thujone. The essential oil has the poison, but it’s unclear if the dried plant has it. To be safe, don’t eat it or get it on your skin. Thujone, in high doses, can cause kidney failure and affect the central nervous system.

Mullein

A heavy hitter in the herb world. It’s a super-powerful protective herb known to drive demons away.

Myrrh

Myrrh is a powerful resin used in incense to clear the most stubborn entities. Use it with frankincense to put a whammy on bad spirits and demons. It can be toxic. Be careful not to eat it.

Nettle

It captures curses and sends it back to the caster.

Oil of Abramelin

This is a critical mixture to use when driving demons away. Pour the oil in a circle around yourself to protect against a physical demonic attack. To make it, use equal parts with cinnamon, myrrh and galangal.

Onion

The plain, ol’ onion is a powerful protective plant. Slice it in half and place the cut side up to repel hostile magic.

Plantain

Put a plantain under your pillow to drive away nightmares and evil spirits.

Rosemary

Make an incense and burn it to get rid of hostile spirits.

Rowan

Okay, so it’s a tree, but its leaves, wood and berries can be used in amulets, baths and washes to clear out the most stubborn entities.

Rue

It works a lot like asofoetida. You make an incense and burn it to get rid of evil spirits and clear hostile magic.

Sage

When you first move into a new home, burn sage and smudge the home to drive away negative energy and cleanse the home.

Scotch Broom

Boil it in salt water to dispel ghosts, poltergeists, spirits and demons.

Spanish Moss

Spanish moss can banish poltergeists. Place it in bottles to absorb curses, hexes and black magic.

St. John’s Wort

A powerful herb that repels demons and evil spirits when burned. It creates a protective shield against most supernatural beings when worn. It stinks, though.

Styrax

Use the resin in incense to cleanse negative energy from your home.

Thyme

Burn it to clear spirits and cleanse a home from wicked spells.

Valerian

Valerian is used to purify an area of negative energy. In most cases, you make incense with it and smudge with it. It is a toxic plant, so don’t eat it.

Vinegar

Vinegar is pretty powerful stuff. It can disrupt magic, stop ghosts and spirits from manifesting, and keep demons away. It’s also very simple to use. Just pour wine vinegar or apple vinegar in a dish and let it evaporate over night. It will disrupt the magic/ghost/demon for a few days. You can also put other protective herbs in it to amplify its purifying power.

Please note: Many plants can be poisonous in small-to-large doses. You could also have an allergic reaction. Make sure you look up the plants to see if they’re toxic before you do anything.

  1. I’ve sensed and was told that I am being attacked my a demonic entitie. They’ve given me steps to bind and rebuke.
Where would I find a blackberry, ivy, and Rowan wreath?
    Thank you so much.
  2. Hi Yolanda. Thanks for asking. I don’t know of any place that sells them already assembled, but you could make them by hand. I found this article from HGTV (http://www.hgtv.com/design/decorating/design-101/make-a-foliage-and-berry-wreath-by-hand) that should help. You’d only need to use the ivy, blackberry vines (with berries on them) and rowan as the core foliage. Usually, a local florist can help get these plants for you. Also, you can use protective stones to keep the evil out and these are much easier to use than making a wreath (https://www.ghostlyactivities.com/stones-that-protect-against-evil-spirits/). Hope this helps!
  3. Hi Sherri. Thanks for asking. I’m afraid we don’t have a book on natural remedies for ghosts and spirits. But, we can recommend one for you. We absolutely love the book, The Encyclopedia of Natural Magic by John Michael Greer. I think you can get it on Amazon for less than $20.
  4. Valerian isn’t toxic. It just smells really bad. It may not be healthy per se, but it has been used by many people in tea or capsule for anxiety and insomnia. Why anyone would put up with the stench I don’t know haha
  5. thank you but some herbs if bought fresh may need to be handled carefully i if your not sure always wear a pair of gloves.
  6. Thanks for the tip! Would you say which ones? I didn’t find which ones could harm you if you touch them with barehands.
  7. Hi Sandra. Thanks for commenting. I usually get them from Amazon.com. They sell the incenses and oils, too. If you want something faster, you could get some of these herbs at your grocery store, but the selection will be limited. You other option is a organic health or holistic health center.
  8. How do you use anise seed? I don’t have the oil yet. Do have a phone number? I want to talk to someone about banishing an evil sprit that’s following me around.
  9. Hi Sandra. According to Witchipedia.com, you can crush the seeds up or use the oil in potpourri. Be careful with the oil because it can make you sick if you get too much on your skin.
We don’t have a cleansing practice anymore, but you can find professionals at Paranormal Societies.
As for the spirit following you, you can wear onyx or obsidian to keep it away from you. I wear an onyx bracelet on ghost hunts, and I never have a problem with a ghost or spirit following me home. You can find these bracelets on Amazon for about $10-$15.
  10. This sprit won’t go away especially when I’m at my job what would you recommend me to use i want something strong
  11. Hi M. No, you don’t want to use rotten rowan. It needs to be fresh. Once it starts to wilt, it loses its protective powers. If the leaves look wilted or the berries get dimples, you need to get fresh replacements.
  12. Hi Sandra. In this case, I’d use protective stones at work. You can wear an onyx, obsidian or magnetite bracelet to keep the spirit away. For extra protection, see if you can get one with some tiger’s eye. I bought mine from Amazon. It costs less than $20 in most cases.
  13. Where is vinegar to be placed in room effectively?
Do any of these herbs permanently stop possession of evil spirits inside a person? If, yes are they to be used?
Anything else besides caraway stop spirit sexual attacks?
  14. Hi El. You can put the vinegar in a bowl toward the center of a room to block spirits. You can also put it next to your bed if you think a spirit invades your dreams. None of the herbs will permanently stop a spirit from coming back, but they’ll think twice before they target you again. Evil spirits hate it when their ‘food’ fights back.
  15. This still has to answered: Anything else besides caraway, stop spirit sexual attacks-especially from devils?
  16. Hi El. I found a video for a protection spell:
You may need to speak to someone within your faith to help clear them. There’s a lot of good videos on YouTube. Just search on the subject.
  17. Very interesting stuff. I’m new to this and just received my spiritual enlightenment. Can these evil spirits hurt me physically? What is my best defense?
  18. Hi Matt, thanks for commenting. 99% of ghosts and spirits are harmless. You’re more likely to hurt yourself from fright than the ghost doing something to you. If you need protection, I’d start by burning asafetida or saging with frankincense-myrrh. The smoke will clear out the spirit. Make sure you open your doors or windows to let the spirit(s) out. After that, I’d pour an inch-wide line of salt along your home’s main doors and windows to bar them from coming back. You only need to do it for 3-4 days. Lastly, you’d wear an onyx or obsidian bracelet to stop any entities from attaching to you. Once the spirits figure out you’re a difficult ‘meal,’ they’ll move on.
  19. Hi jacob, my wife has visions and has spirits wanting her to help them all the time. She doesn’t get much sleep because of them. We are moving into a new house so, if we burn white safe and put sea salt in the corners of all the rooms will they hopefully leave her alone so she can get some rest? Also, how much salt do we need to put in the corners? Thank you.
  20. Hi Tonya. Thanks for commenting. In the short term, using sage and salt may work. But, that’s not going to stop spirits from returning. Since she’s sensitive, the spirits would always seek her out. I think you’d want to focus on longer term solutions.
First, I’d look into some protective stones like onyx, obsidian, magnetite and/or tiger’s eye to keep the spirits away. You could get a bracelet with one or more of them from Amazon.
As for salt, I’ve generally pour an inch-wide line in doorways and window sills to keep the spirits out after burning sage. If you want something for the room corners, try Angelica. A big pinch per corner should work. You can get it in powder form or sliced-and-dried. Angelica is a heavy hitter in the herb family.
As for using sage, a more powerful natural remedy would be frankincense-myrrh incense or burning asafoetida. You can get both on Amazon. Take care!
  21. Galangal (a.k.a. Low John)
Use it to break the most powerful evil spells, curses and hexes
  22. Hello! for years I have been a victim of witchcraft, it has been a constant struggle because I protect myself and take off that witchcraft, I want to clean my house with asafoetida, I have quartz rocks, amulets and I have the Santa Muerte,do you think I should take them out of the house when I burn asafoetida? I use stones to protect myself, I have an onyx bracelet and tiger’s eye, when burning asafoetida my bracelet is will not neutralized? thanks for answering!!
  23. Hi Judith. Thanks for commenting. I usually take my stones out of the house while I’m cleansing with asafoetida. It’s such a powerful herb, I don’t risk neutralizing it.
  24. Hi I’m so thankful I found you I have a hoo doo demon placed on me which tries to have sex with me it has demons in my home I have pictures what can I do please help me it follows me everywhere I go and gets in my body I haven’t slept in months
  25. Hi Sherry. Thanks for commenting. I can give you some tips to keep the demons away, but I can’t exorcise them. You will need someone from your faith to do that.
Here’s a link to the a demon article. It can help with some protection techniques.
    https://www.ghostlyactivities.com/demons-meddling-humankind/
Did you watch the video in the comments? There was a reader in the same situation you have. She watched the video to help her.
These are only temporary. You need spiritual help, so please contact your priest or pastor to help.
  26. Okay so of the herbs mentioned, only Byrony, Daffodil, Boxwood, Holly, and Mandragora (aka Mandrake) are poisonous if ingested….none so deadly that touching them without gloves is required, though breathing incense made with these is NOT a good idea. High John the Conqueror ( Ipomoea purga) is not poisonous when used by a skilled herbalist, but is a drastic purgative when used by the untrained.
  27. Hi Jacob, you seem recommend onyx, obsidian, and tiger’s eye. Do you think their powers are equal in repelling evil spirits? Were I to buy only one of them, which one would you recommend for the strongest effect?
  28. Hi Jedrek, thanks for commenting. Onyx and obsidian have very similar properties, but tiger’s eye is a bit different. It repels psychic attacks and I think it works better for dream attacks vs. onyx and obsidian. To repel evil, you could get onyx or obsidian. I also like to have magnetite available. As a grounding stone, it helps drain out negative energy from any evil spirit encounter you may have. Hope this helps!
  29. I have reason to believe that someone has done witchcraft on me and my disable son. The first time that I noticed it. I would wake up with unknown sctraches on my forehead arms and the back of my legs to the point to where they would burn. I also noticed that me and my son would hear this song ( when the saints go marching in). I also would hear horns being blown from two to three times? After awhile it stopped for three years. Then here recently I noticed the same things that I noticed the first time. Also I had gotten a dog and I noticed after three weeks my dog stopped coming to his name and I was forced to give him up. Well I had been going to church and doing a lot of praying. I had even purchased me and my son and ameysta cross chain. What can I do to protect me and my son along with family and friends? What can I do to break this witchcraft? Please help me
  30. I know who done this and the only thing that I know about this person is their name and their profession again please help us
  31. Hi again. The article I put in my previous comment has how to break the curse. Go to the part that says “If it’s a written or verbal curse…” section and follow the freezer/ice cube instructions. I’m afraid this is all I can offer you. It’s always better when you break the curse versus someone else. It will give you strength to fight other curses directed at you.
  32. For the freezer ritual to stop gossip attacks or ill wishing stated above, it needs to state, how to properly dispose of the whole thing when done (the written name from the paper/pic, the H2O and the plastic bag).
  33. This varies quite a bit by religious beliefs. According to ThoughtCo, you can simply bury it on your property.
Wigington, Patti. “How To Properly Dispose of Ritual and Magic Tools.” ThoughtCo, Jun. 22, 2018, thoughtco.com/how-to-dispose-of-ritual-tools-2562870.
  34. Where do I bury it if I live in apartment complex? Do I bury the entire bag with the name?
  35. Hi, thanks for commenting. It’s difficult to see ghosts and spirits, unless they want you to. You have a better change to ask them questions and see if they reply. It’s called EVP. You can set out a digital recorder and ask them them questions. Sometimes, the recorder picks up their voices when they answer.
  36. Hi Jacob.
I am about to move into a new home and the guys who were renovating told me they hear sounds, foot steps and things moving. As an emergency precaution what can I do as I will be moving in in few days time.
    Thanks
    Mbongeni
  37. Hi Mbongeni, thanks for commenting. Renovations can cause a dormant spirit to become active. Once you arrive, you could use some herbs to clear out the energy from previous owners, but I’d wait. The spirits could settle down once the work is done. If it keeps up, then I’d use some herbs to clear or neutralize the ghostly energy. Here’s some articles to read about it:
  38. I’ve had this gift to communicate with spirits ever since I was younger. Last time I did it, I was a teenager. Well, I was telling my fiancée (I think that’s an important thing to share) and of course she wanted me to prove it to her. Only problem was so many came to talk. Now they’re just lingering in and around our home even though we did it outside. I really appreciate your articles because I don’t know what else to do.
  39. Hi Yashica, thanks for commenting. People with your gift are beacons to random souls: Most just want to talk because they miss their lives. You do have the power to have them leave. You can politely command them to only come when you ask. The living have more power over the dead than they think. It’s just that fear gets in the way. If that doesn’t work, then you can use herbs and stones to create a barrier. I see you commented on the “Herbs That Protect…” article. At the top of it, I have links to the “Stones That Protect…” and “How To Make Incense To Clear Spirits…” articles. Using stones and herbs should do the trick. But, I’d ask them to politely leave before pulling out the boxwood and onyx on them.
  40. Hi Jacob, can I make black salt by burning some of the above spices unless those contraindicated? Cheers, Lawrence
  41. Hi gang. A reader, Aikawa Nakamura, wrote some really good info on using herbs on another post, so I moved it here. I did ask about lavender because my source books listed it as an ingredient for protection amulets. Thanks Aikawa!
Herbs, Essential oils and incense for repelling evil spirits are:
    1) Sage
    2) Myrrh
    3) Sandlewood
    4) Paolo Santo wood
    5) Cedar wood
    6) Mugwort or Moxa
    7) Frankincense
Do NOT use Lavender oil as it could attract spirits instead of repelling.
You can also make your own smudge spray by combining the following essential oils with spring/mineral water and alcohol:
    1) Sage oil
    2) Frankincense Oil
    3) Myrrh oil
Optional oils to add to increase potency:
    1) Lemon oil
    2) Peppermint / Mint
    3) Rosemary oil
Spray this smudge spray at the front entrance, at all four corners of the hotel room/home/room, at every window and in every closet and drawer. Do not forget to spray the bathroom.
As you spray, declare out and speak out “In the name of my God _____, I ask for the power to remove all the negative energy and presence from this room with this spray of protection”.
  42. I would like to also suggest Moringa as a powerful herb that is used to banish evil spirits, demons and black magic. Moringa leaves are also very beneficial to the body and are often drunk as tea or consumed as health supplements as they contain many essential vitamins for the body and increase the body’s immune system.
I like to wash my hair with Moringa, Mint and Sage shampoo and conditioner to give myself that extra protection.
    Some links on Moringa below:
  43. Does anyone know what can be done/used so that when praying or sleeping no spiritual evil will assault u, especially sexually? Pls help & thx for help, if given!
P.S.Thx Jacob, for some of the good info on this site & allowing us to get help.
  44. I would like to add an herb to your list of herbs that fight evil. Pennyroyal is an excellent herb to use when trying to expel evil spirits from your home or even if you just have negative energy in the home. It can even be used to help if a marriage is going sour. It has many uses that a quick Google search would fully explain but I just wanted to mention it for your list. I use it in my wax warmers by sprinkling some of the herbs in each one or I burn it with sage during home cleansings. Pennyroyal is a sacred herb to my deity so for me, it works out in Perfect Harmony but it is still a very powerful protection herb that should be in anyone’s Arsenal when dealing with malevolent spirits. I hope this information could be useful to anyone in need Blessed Be!
  45. Hello Jacob Rice. Thx for educating us. I am among the very few if not the only person who has risen hi in my family(extended), I have been helping them financially and other means..but only to ‘discover’ that some of my family members are spiritually attacking me- marriage/relationship (not married), my properties (get going to waste), extravagant givings (money) among others. I’d wanted to know if there is any advise for me. Dont forget I am a christian with a personal relationship with God through Christ Jesus. My Lord has done excessively abundant for me…but just wanted to check on what you will advise too.
  46. Hi Elvis, thanks for commenting. The only thing I can offer is this article on breaking curses. But, it may against your beliefs. It’s based on pagan principles. If that doesn’t work for you, then I can only recommend that you speak to your pastor to see if he can step in with counseling. Sometimes, you have to break off your family relationship. It’s the only way they’ll learn not to take advantage of your generosity. Or, you can spread your good will through your church. All that good will would be a strong counter to their negative energy.
In the curse article, you want to pay attention to the verbal/written section. This isn’t a deathbed curse, nor is it a haunted object. Take care!
  47. Alright so I just got a simple question . I’m in the process of finding an apartment I found a really nice apartment it’s the perfect size it’s the perfect price but it is right next to a funeral home and naturally I am precautious and little fearful. Let me know what you think and if anybody else wants to add a comment in here go right ahead
  48. Hi Lea, thanks for commenting. I think you’re fine with this apartment. If you want to keep the ghosts away, then you can set out some incense (like frankincense-myrrh) to gently move the spirit on. You could also sprinkle some salt around the windows and doors. That’ll lock them out.
Funeral homes don’t really keep ghosts around. The spirit isn’t anchored there. It would just want to see its family, then move on. Funeral rights/burials are designed to get the spirit to move on. There may be one that hangs around, but it wouldn’t go looking to crash at your place.
  49. this is a real late reply, I apologize, just found this site! its for Tonya Gann from June. if you are assisting the spirits who need help crossing over, hats off to you!!!! just be careful please. also, there are ways you can help yourself to channel and better assist them. also meditaion and yoga would be awesome for you. you also need to put up a barrier in your room, and when you go in there, tell the spirits it is now your time and they are not allowed to come into your area. if you need more help with this, message Amy from the Dead Files. she can be found on the travel channel web site. she will be able to tell you exactly how she does it so she has her own space to rest and recharge. Good luck!! and Blessed Be
  50. Hello,
When working with these herbs to protect my boyfriend and I from negativity and dark forces, suddlenly everyone on my boyfriends circle started attaking him at the same time, being rude or making fun of his healing.
Also a few minutes after me finishing the herb bag mixture he poke his hand with a knife while making a candle and bleed a bit.
    What does this mean?
  51. Hi Brittany, thanks for commenting. This sounds like a curse or hex was placed in you. I’ve got an article about breaking curses, just search for it on the site. This one sounds very strong: I’d recommend contacting a local pagan group to help break it.
  52. Thank you for making us to know what all these herbs can do .Send to me your regular journal on herbs that banished malevolent ghosts and evil spirits
  53. Thanks Jacob for the useful infos. Pls any idea how to deal with water spirit? It’s very important pls
  54. This is funny. Why don’t we just cast out the evil spirits and break any evil spells or curses in the name of Jesus ?
  55. Hi Allison. Thanks for commenting. In my experience, invoking the name of Jesus can give very mixed results. I’ve had cases in the Southwest US where Catholic priests have tried to clear Native American spirits with Jesus’ name, and the activity became violent afterwards. The family had to call in a shaman to clear the spirits. I’ve had another case in Brooklyn where a rabbi was needed to clear a ghost after the residents invoked Jesus’ name to cast it out. I had a family in Lebanon reach out, but they needed a imam to clear a djinn. In each case, the faith that cleared the spirit was the spirit’s core belief system.
Faith can be very important in clearing spirits, but I think you’d need to understand its origin first. Then you could apply faith-based clearing methods. Many of the herbs listed in this article apply to all faiths: That’s why I recommended them. These herbs have worked against evil spirits for centuries.

  59. What herbs can one use to break curses, hexes and black magic? How strong is galanga and cayenne?
  60. Hi Jacob. Thanks for the insightful article. Do essential oils have the same effect, or do only herbs work?
    Best regards
    Mia
  61. Hi Mia, thanks for commenting. Yes, essential oils can help, but I’d use them to clear a specific spot like a closet or small space. The smoke from herbs would be used to clear a larger room to a house. You can use both at the same time, though. You could sprinkle the oils in a closet to release the spirit, then use the smoke to force it out of your house.
  62. Hi Christine, thanks for commenting. I tried to find the components in the candle, but I couldn’t find what oils are used in it. If you know, that would be helpful.
  63. How you use the Motherwort herb
To get rid of annoying ghost or evil spirts mine all came from oujia boards
Old black magic i want know how motherwort herb can banish them ?
    Help
  64. Hi Tim, thanks for commenting. You can mix it with sage to make an incense. Then you can burn it to drive out the spirits. You can also take it and hang from your doorway to keep out spirits. Another option is to make a satchel with motherwort in it. Then put it in your pocket for protection. If you think you have an attachment, you can bathe with it. Using motherwort doesn’t mean it will work immediately. You will need to repeat the incense and bathing option for 4 weeks or more before it finally drives out the spirits.

Piperine has been strongly associated with reduced inflammation and oxidative stress and its many benefits in the fight against diseases such as cancers have been studied. Fresh and unripe peppercorns (piper nigrum) Black pepper ( piper nigrum ) is native to Kerala in South West India though it grows well in the tropics. However, Vietnam happens to be the largest producer and exporter. In Africa, we have a specie called the  Piper guine...

Medieval Magical Spells against Theft

Medieval Magical Spells against Theft If you were trying to uncover a thief in 15th-century Denmark, you could make the suspect undergo a ‘cheese ordeal’. This would involve writing on the cheese the words ‘Agula igula agulet’ and feeding it to the accused. Immediately it will give a verdict: the innocent will be able to eat it normally, but the guilty will have find it “full of bitterness”, suffer pain under their tongue, and thus be unable to swallow it. Similar formulas involving cheese-as-justice can be found in other medieval texts. Like ourselves, people in the Middle Ages were concerned about protecting their goods from being stolen. If chests and locks were not enough security, they could also make use of magic. A newly published article by Chiara Benati, “Painted Eyes, Magical Sieges and Carved Runes: Charms for Catching and Punishing Thieves in the Medieval and Early Modern Germanic Tradition” offers examples of dozens of medieval magical spells and charms tha...
